"I used Danielle to drop in on my 2 cats while I went to the beach. Danielle was extremely thorough. She spent time at a “Meet and Greet” before I left to familiarize herself with any specifics about the cats. I thought that was a very good idea and the cats just loved her. That also gave me time to work thru specifics of timing and visits and wow- was delighted that she would do a couple of extra things while she was her.
She played with the cats, and took pictures of them and sent them to my email address.
I knew that she really loved animals by the way the cats warmed up to her right away. Would recommend her for your pets. I will be using Danielle again for my next trip. "

"When I first hired Danielle it was actually off a recommendation from my exotics vet. She has taken care of my exotic pets several times since then. One of them has special needs that she meets easily. Reptiles require a lot of attention and precision, and Danielle manages my critters without difficulty. She’s communicative when there’s a health issue and has the skills to deal with them. She is quick with updates letting me know how my scale kids are doing, briefing me a few times during her visit. One of my lizards has a serious health condition, so the checkins afford me peace of mind. It’s so helpful to know how a visit is going and the state of my animals during it.
I have been back and forth several times during the last few months with trips that are somewhat open ended. Danielle has been flexible each time. Being able to rely on somebody who, not only, knows how to care for my but is also able to be so accommodating under complicated circumstances has been a godsend. A large part of my travel stress is always centered around animal care. I have never managed to be able to leave home with so little anxiety over their care. We’re going to miss her when we move. I’ve had a lot of sitters but never one as great as she has been, and I’ll be sad we can’t hire her all the way from Washington State."

“We hired Danielle to take care of our slightly-higher-maintenance cat while we traveled for the holiday. Danielle sent us pictures for each visit (which we loved) and did a wonderful job communicating with us about when she was with Zoey, any concerns she had, how Zoey played/ate, etc. It was a huge comfort knowing someone with Danielle’s expertise, extreme attention to detail, and care was taking care of our fur-baby. She made sure she had our contact information, but also provided us with her emergency contact info. She clearly cared that we felt comfortable leaving her in charge and was sensitive to the fact that we were explicitly trusting her. We would ABSOLUTELY hire her again, and highly recommend her.
Update: We recently hired Danielle again (Feb 2017) for a weekend trip we took and again we were very pleased! We would highly recommend Danielle/Steel City Critter Care to anyone in need of a qualified pet sitter :-)"
